Andean squirrel

 The Andean squirrel (Sciurus pucheranii) is a tree squirrel endemic to Colombia where it lives in the montane forests and cloud forests of the Cordillera Occidental and Cordillera Central of the Colombian Andes, at altitudes between 2000 and 3300 meters (6600 and 10800 feet). It is a small species with a body length of about 14 cm (6 in) and a long tail. It has soft, reddish-brown fur, a dark tail, and yellow underparts. It is thought to be dated but has not been studied, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature has assessed its conservation status as lacking data. Explanation  The Andean squirrel is a common tree squirrel, generally as large as the eastern gray squirrel of North America. However, it is much smaller, with a body length of about 14 centimeters (5.5 in) and a tail of 12 to 16 centimeters (4.7 to 6.3 in).
